Ruggable - Pet Friendly Washable Rugs

Living with a dog (and cat) means accepting a certain level of chaos — muddy paws, sometimes fur everywhere, the occasional accident, and a lot of coming and going. I used to avoid rugs altogether because they felt like more stress than they were worth… until we ordered our first Ruggable

What I love most about Ruggable is how un-dramatic they make mess. When something happens (and it always does with pets), I don’t start panic scrubbing. A light clean then when needed I roll up and put in the washer of run over Kmart spot remover over. That alone has made a huge difference to how relaxed I feel about having rugs in a dog-friendly home.

The one I personally use and recommend is the Iris Apfel Protea Forest Green Rug but each to their own taste wise. It has a beautiful, rich green tone with a great pattern that somehow manages to hide fur and everyday marks really well. 

A few things that really stand out for me with Ruggable and pets:

* The two-piece system means the rug stays in place
* It’s low pile and lightweight, so Tilly and Potato are comfortable on it and it’s easy to lift when it needs a wash.
* The washability is real - smells, dirt and dog hair actually come out.
* I don’t feel like I have to “protect” it. It’s a rug that fits real life.

For us, Ruggable has been one of those rare home purchases that makes living with pets easier rather than harder. It lets my dogs be dogs, without me stressing about my floors or my furniture.
